My New Makeup Journey With Real Techniques

I am no make up expert and neither do I wear a lot of makeup on a day-to-day basis; however I have been lusting a long time after these Real Techniques makeup brushes designed by makeup experts & YouTube gurus Sam & Nic Chapman.

I am blissfully "aware" that the entire beauty world is going gaga over their brand new Bold Metals collection. All I can say is that I am just ecstatic to start with their very basic but more affordable line of brushes.

They key to flawless makeup is great tools and after reading, watching & hearing great review upon review, I succumbed to these brushes. As far as the future of my makeup journey is concerned, I will obviously let you all in on that!

Mother Of All Beauty Balms- Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

I just had to pick up a travel-sized set of the iconic 8 Hour Cream. These babies need to live in my handbag; they are seriously that good!

Elizabeth Arden formulated this genius product back in the 1930s and basically the original balm comes with a serious, power-packed dose of petroleum, vitamin E and salicylic acid.

It works wonders (really works) for dehydrated skin, chapped lips, dry patches, red spots, hands, nails, cuticles, minor sunburns and the list goes on and on!

Makeup wise, you can pop it on your lips and as a highlighter (cheek & under the brow bone area) for that all-natural illuminating glow; it looks absolutely gorgeous!

There are many other variants of the 8 Hour Cream such as the hand cream and daily moisturiser with SPF and they are also pretty damn good!  My skin gets seriously dry and lips crazy chapped during winter months. This is the only product that seems to be working! Hence why, at the moment I am really enjoying my 8 Hour trio.

This product is worth all the hype that surrounds it and we highly recommend it!

Nutribullet 600 Series

I know its rather late to jump on the Nurtibullet bandwagon and anyone who is even slightly conscious about their diet or health (basically everyone) will know what I am talking about. But better late than never, right? ;)

Nutribullet is probably the most popular "Superfood Nutrition Extractor" and has been the most talked about product in the Blogosphere or YouTube world recently.

But how is it different from other juicers and blenders?

NutriBullet is supposed to be an extractor which basically means that while juicing & blending food might result in losing nutrients, extracting (skin, stems and seeds everything included) keeps the good things intact.

It is a mighty powerful tool; comes with a 600 watt motor and its turbo extractor blades work at an intense speed of 20000 RPM. This basically means that it breaks down nearly all parts of fruit and vegetables including the seeds, stems and skin in seconds. There is an additional blade meant for milling grains, grinding herbs and chopping nuts as well.

Pros?
Absolutely sensational for making smoothies, sauces, soups, dips  et al.
Easy to clean as the blade is on the lid.
Easy to scoop out all of your finished food as the blade is not at the bottom but on the lid.
Convenient, innovative design.
Saves time.
Safe to use.

Cons?
It's not exactly cheap :(

Random Home Haul

The thing with buying stuff for your home is that it is ENDLESS! You can never have enough, things will inevitably go bad, need constant replacement and there will always be some crazy deal to lure you in ;) I thought of sharing with you some stuff that we have purchased recently.

These baskets are from Tiger and they are  really cute, inexpensive and ideal for stacking onions, potatoes, avocados, sweet potatoes etc. I think they were priced at £2 each.

We picked up this Russell & Hobbs toaster  and a (sort of) matching kettle from Currys & PC World during January sales. They came at a delightful price point of £20 each.

If you live in the UK, you will relate to the insanely ridiculous amount of pennies one ends up collecting on a daily basis. This cute piggy bank from Evolution was for £1.50 during sales and is the perfect not-too-big-not-too-small size to chuck in lose change.

Can you tell that I have been obsessed with mugs lately? 

First of all my "stretchy- kitty" mugs from Tiger- love at first sight and priced at £2 each, they are a definite bargain!

I also picked these enamel mugs from Evolution Stores priced at £2.50 each. I think they are really trendy at the moment. The only downside is that you cannot put them in the microwave.

And I finally picked a classic design! This gorgeous pair is from Grace's Teaware (bought at TK Maxx) for a silly £2 each!

Little Black Primer Starring Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner made her debut for the American beauty giant Estee Lauder with the launch of their Little Black Primer.

Jenner stars in a black and white video featuring the new mascara which also acts as a subtle lash tint and a water-resistant topcoat. Use it as is for tinting your lashes, or as primer to boost or as a topcoat! Sounds promising doesn't it?

Priced at £20, the Little Black Primer will be available nationwide from March 2015, and will be previewing exclusively at Boots nationwide from 21 January.
