Bargains In Bangalore

Last week I was in Bangalore with my family and finally had the chance to head out shopping. I found some crazy bargains as the last leg of seasonal sales was on.

I found this neck piece at Forever New for Rs 395! What I love about this neckpiece is that it's perfectly neutral and will pair well with multiple outfits.



I picked a pair of denims from Zara @ INR 795! Absolutely crazy!

These indigo blue denims sit high on the waist and fit like a dream. 

I then picked up this basic black dressy top from Zara for INR 999. This is such a versatile item to have in your wardrobe. Its very flattering and it has a little surprise at the back!

Finally, these ultra comfy ugly sliders were also priced at INR 795. What I love the most here is the contrasting heel.

A big thank you to my brother for letting me use his credit card. I think I spent very wisely ;)

The Amazon India Experience

I recently stretched my weight training threshold up a notch. It's a small yet significant  fitness milestone as I moved from 1 kg to lifting 2 kg dumbbells.

So I  ordered myself a pair of purple vinyl Body Sculpture dumbbells from Amazon, India. I have taken to writing a full post on this is because I am damn pleased with their service.

I placed my order for a free, cash on delivery service on Sunday evening. Early Tuesday morning the package was delivered to me (that is less than 48 hours). The guy called me just once inquiring about the closest landmark and promptly 10 minutes later he arrived with my order. The dumbbells were in good condition, properly packed and delivered 4 days earlier than what they had claimed initially.

I saved myself a lot of time & effort by placing this order. I am also happy with the product except I wish the dumbbells were slightly smaller in size. But for the most part, my experience with Amazon, India has been exceptionally good.

These dumbbells were priced at INR 640 all inclusive. They were Rs 20 cheaper at Snapdeal but something was wrong with their website and as fate would have it, I ended up ordering them from Amazon.

So shopping from Amazon is a big yes for me! What about you? Have any online shopping experiences to share?

Forever Stripes

This striped dress is ideal for cruel summer days & nights as its made out of thin cotton jersey material which falls in a rather flattering way. On Shirin's inverted triangle body shape, the deep v neck makes her shoulders appear narrow while pleats around front and back with an empire waistline add the necessary curve to her frame.
Diagonally placed stripes through out the dress add the illusion of a narrow curvy frame. This is a very clever outfit for someone who is an inverted triangle or rectangle body type.
